We've been planning to take the girls to the museum that's by the house, Montclair Art Museum. However, I thought to myself that art museum do not have a lot of stuff for toddlers to look at and they'll be bored and cranky too fast. I remember my friend, Rani took her daughter Kimberly to the New York's Children Museum and I thought the NJ one shouldn't be that far from here so got on the net and look at the map, got the girls ready in half an hour, off we go! They had so much fun. At first, they didn't know what to do or where to go first then Morgan started to get the hang of it, then Alia and Morgan found the Nursery toys with babydolls and crib and all. Right next to that room was a music room, not so surprised when Morgan kept going on to the Piano keyboard and stuck there hehehhehheh

Playing with dolls helps your child learn how to nurture, how to understand other people, and it lets her practice for real-life situations. A doll allows your child to take on new roles, like a mother or sister, friend or teacher. Don't be surprised when you see elements of your child's emotional life creeping into her doll play: it's a safe way for her to act out her joys, fears, frustrations, and desires. You don't have to stay on the sidelines, by the way. Join in whatever make-believe she's involved in by picking up a doll and taking on a new role yourself. Just be sure to take your cues from her about who to be and what to do … after all, she's the "director."
