It has been almost 2 weeks now. Alia is somewhat trained to go to the bathroom to do "pipis" and "poopi". She had several accidents and holding out moments but I think she's getting there. She had one today and it was my fault. I guess she's been holding her pee while she was eating ice cream and after she's done she needed to go while I was cleaning her mess. But the bathroom door was closed and she's been calling me to open it (I was too busy cleaning the ice cream mess) and she couldn't hold it any longer and she just lets it go in front of the bathroom. I felt bad! Previous to that there was a moment where she was pushing to do "poopie" in her pants and I immediately took her to the bathroom and she held it out. She hasn't gone "poopie" since. I felt bad but I wanna teach her not to poop in her pants anymore...
Those potties that I bought a long time ago finally had usage. For the longest time I've thought to myself that I would never potty train Alia b/c she's so attached to the diapers and so used to them but I think she's getting the hang of going to the bathroom now and using that princess potty of her right before her summer camp starts. I hope the school experience will show her more independence of her pull-ups. I can't wait for that to start. Four more days until her first day of camp. I mean it's not like she's going away from me for too long. But 3 days a week for 2 weeks to start her before her actual school days is not bad. I wish there was more room to put her in to the summer camp but all the spot have been taken and I did registered her a little too late.
Back to the potty training...I wonder if children get urinary tract infection...because we went to IKEA yesterday and she had been sleeping and when she woke up she was a little fussy like always but this time I didn't realise that she needed to go to the bathroom. She finally said that she had to go "pipis" right now and it's hurting. So I took her and ran to the bathroom and she finally let go. I felt so bad that I didn't know and it was a good thing that the bathroom wasn't too far away. funny thing was that she had her pull-ups on. Imagine that!
But back to my original thought, UTI....does kids get it while they're in training. I hope that they don't ever develop it and I will try to pay more attention to her timing.
